"The most demanding part of living a lifetime as an artist is the strict discipline of forcing oneself to work steadfastly along the nerve of one's own intimate sensitivity." ~Anne Truitt I had been itching to make myself a new sketchbook...even though I never completed all the pages of my last one, I felt ready to move on. My good friend and artist, Lisa York, showed me how to make a sketchbook...I was on my own this time. I cut the pages incorrectly...so a bit of improvising had to happen when it came time to assemble the books. It was refreshing to do something outside of clay. I got lost in creating the washes, lines, and drips on the pages and am anxious to begin writing and sketching in them!!!
